Transportation Support for Job Shadows
Job shadows give students the opportunity to explore careers firsthand, connect with professionals, and learn more about the pathways that interest them. We want transportation to be one less barrier to these experiences, so students at participating Willamette Work Ready schools can request a $15 gas card to help with transportation to and from their scheduled job shadow.
How to Request a Gas Card
2. Apply
Once your job shadow is scheduled, you can apply for a $15 gas card to help with transportation. You’ll need your job shadow business name and address, date and time, distance from your school, and an educator contact at your school.
Schedule
Find and schedule a job shadow experience with a business or organization. You can explore available job shadow opportunities on the Willamette Work Ready Opportunity Board, through your school, or through your own connections.
3. Receive
If your request is accepted, Willamette Work Ready will send your gas card to your school district. Your school district will determine when and how the gas card is distributed to you.
